What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash  extensions lengthen and thicken your natural lashes with single strands of faux mink or mink lashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They  are applied to individual eyelashes, one at a time, for a natural, elegant and luscious look. Eyelashes are perfect for special occasions, as well as for everyday wear. Bonnie's Beauty Boutique offers both 100% mink fur and faux mink lashes for false eyelashes.

What do they look like and how do they feel?

The eyelashes look and feel completely real and natural. 

How long do the eyelashes last?

Semi-permanent eyelashes can last indefinitely. When applied correctly, eyelashes will fall out with your natural lash as it ends its growth cycle. You will  probably want touch-ups every 3-5 weeks to maintain your lush eyelashes. The adhesives used at Bonnie's Beauty Boutique are specially formulated with a unique waterproof water-bonding agent that is hypoallergenic.

Can I apply eyelash extensions myself?

No. Only a trained eyelash professional will be able to safely apply eyelash extensions. Unprofessional applications or self-applications may cause eye injury, clumping, unnatural looking lashes or damage to your own lashes. Lash techs should be trained and certified to apply one  lash at a time to achieve long, thick, luscious eyelashes.

Can you describe the application process?

You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while the extensions are applied to your natural eyelashes. Application generally takes between one and two hours to apply a full set of  eyelashes. Application generally takes between 15 and 45 minutes for a  fill-in or touch-up of lashes. The procedure is so relaxing and comfortable, many clients fall asleep during the process.

Who uses eyelash extensions?

Everyone! Hollywood stars have long since enjoyed enhancing their beauty with eyelash  extensions. Models and actors have been using eyelash extensions for years. Now, you can have them, too. Because they look so real, anyone could be wearing them and you would never know.

What is a full set?

Full sets are considered to have 60 to 80 lashes per eye depending on the clients eyelash type. If you see lower prices advertised, look into the  number of lashes applied. Also, inquire if they are using strips, clusters, or individual lashes. Only lash extensions that adhere to individual eyelashes are safe for your natural eyelash growth.
